Welcome to the Fifth Grade Web Page
This will be a challenging year for
our students. Fifth grade brings with it a higher level of
thinking with an introduction to abstract thinking skills and a concentration on
learning to analyze
and problem solve. At this level, our students are no longer learning to read but
are learning by reading. We will also begin the transition to middle school by giving
them the responsibility of organizing their materials and work, changing classes and teachers,
and becoming more self-motivated.
